Save Lusby was formed as a non-partisan, community-driven, non-profit organization aimed to preserve & protect the small-town spirit of our community.

Lusby Villas is a proposed apartment complex aiming to build 276 units on over 26 acres in Lusby, Maryland. This high-density housing project threatens to overwhelm our local infrastructure, creating severe traffic congestion and exacerbating the already overcrowded conditions in our schools. Additionally, the development poses a risk to local ecosystems and wildlife habitats, disrupting the natural environment that many residents cherish. 

We believe the county should prioritize responsible, sustainable growth that considers the long-term well-being of Lusby’s residents and natural resources, rather than pushing forward a project that could undermine our community’s quality of life.
